This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair processes and excellent communication skills to effectively convey information to both customers and technicians.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and courteously, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services, repairs, and costs to customers.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service requests, and follow-ups.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Assist in managing the service department workflow to enhance efficiency.
- Stay updated on automotive technologies and repair techniques to provide informed recommendations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive service writing or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair processes, and maintenance services including brake repair, diesel engine repair, tire service, and auto body repair.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively with service technicians and other team members.
- Experience in upselling services is a plus.
- Familiarity with auto service management software is advantageous.
