Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical services. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems and related equipment across various properties. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and plumbing components.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct field service operations that involve equipment repair, installation, and system upgrades in commercial settings.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for mechanical repairs.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using industry-standard techniques and perform necessary repairs or replacements to restore system functionality.
- Maintain detailed service reports, logs of work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades.
Qualifications/What We’re Looking For:
- D2 / S2 required.
- 2 years of HVAC service or maintenance experience
- Basic knowledge of refrigeration cycles and HVAC systems
- Ability to use gauges, meters, and diagnostic tools
- Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and schematics
- Valid driver’s license
- Current OSHA License (in CT OSHA expires 5 years after issue)
- EPA certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
