ACTIA Corporation has been manufacturing quality vehicle electronics and diagnostic equipment for growing markets such as Off-Highway, Bus & Coach, Truck & Fleet, Marine and Specialty Vehicles for over 30 years. ACTIA Group is an international group based in Toulouse, France.

We are currently looking for a Sourcing Specialist to join our team in Elkhart, IN. The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing supplies and manufacturing partners to ensure high-quality production, competitive pricing, and consistent on-time delivery. The role combines analytical sourcing skills with hands-on manufacturing knowledge to support cost optimization, supplier performance, and product quality across the supply chain.

Job Specific Competencies

Supplier Identification & Evaluation with New Product Development

• Research, identify, and assess potential suppliers and manufacturing across domestic and international markets.
• Conduct detailed supplier audits, capability assessments, and risk and compliance evaluations.
• Analyze supplier capacity, manufacturing technologies, certifications, and compliance standards.
• Develop and maintain supplier databases.

Strategic Sourcing, Negotiation, & Cost Optimization

• Analyze market trends, pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for new and existing product categories.
• Lead RFQs/RFPs, cost analysis, and price negotiations to achieve competitive cost structures.
• Ensure contracts and agreements meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements.
  
  

Manufacturing, Technical Support & Procurement Execution

• Prepare RFQs, RFPs, and purchase orders for essential components (motors, wiring harnesses, sensors, metal parts, plastics, electronic modules, batteries, etc.)
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to define product specifications, technical requirements, and logistical requirements.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing-related issues and support in improving production processes.
• Monitor production readiness, tooling development, and pilot runs at supplier facilities.
  
  

Supplier Relationship & Performance Management

• Build strong partnerships with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
• Track and report KPIs including lead time, quality metrics, delivery performance, and cost trends.
• Address non-conformance issues and implement corrective action plans.
  
  

Risk & Compliance Management

• Identify supply-chain risks such as shortages, geopolitical issues, or transportation disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and sustainability requirements.
  
  

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with procurement, engineering, quality, and logistics teams to support new product introductions and ongoing production.
• Provide sourcing insights during product development to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Support supply chain risk-mitigation plans and alternative supplier strategies.
  
  

Working Conditions

• Movement - This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and on the production floor. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Operate/Use - Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e. copier, printer, calculator)
• Ascend/Descend - Rarely ascends/descends stairs to reach archived files
• Communicate - This position frequently communicates with co-workers, managers and supervisors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Transport - This position frequently lifts or moves 25 pounds, occasionally moves up to 50 pounds for various needs.
• Work Environment - Relatively noisy at times and fast paced.
• Travel - Occasional travel to customers and vendors, with very minimal overnight stays, may be required.
  
  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or manufacturing within a technical or industrial environment.
