Job Title: US Workforce Enablement Professional I

Job Description

The US Workforce Enablement Professional I delivers high-quality digital workplace support by combining customer-focused project work, digital workplace consulting, and hands-on technical support and operations. This role ensures end users remain productive by resolving technical issues, optimizing the use of existing tools, and supporting mobile and desktop technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support and participate in customer-focused projects related to digital workplace solutions, mobile IT applications, and end user computing hardware.
  • Assist with the implementation, configuration, and support of mobile IT applications and end user computing devices such as PCs, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Provide clear, timely, and accurate updates to project leaders on progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Present complex technical information to non-technical audiences in a clear, concise, and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Take full ownership of incidents, acting decisively to ensure customers maintain IT productivity and experience minimal disruption.
  • Provide technical consultancy to specific business groups, advising them on how to leverage existing tools and technologies to meet their needs.
  • Proactively engage with business functions to understand their processes and recommend methods, tools, or configurations that increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage day-to-day IT activities at the site independently within company guidelines to ensure seamless IT operations.
  • Deliver 2nd-level technical support both in person and remotely for field-based users and specialized environments such as GxP labs and R&D spaces.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, network, and system issues, including VPN and mobile device problems, to restore user productivity.
  • Own the end-to-end incident management process, from initial triage through resolution and follow-up, across network and system infrastructure.
  • Provide high-quality desktop and end user support, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of PCs, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by responding promptly to requests, communicating clearly, and managing expectations effectively.
  • Use ITIL-based processes and best practices to support IT service delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Document issues, solutions, and procedures as needed to support knowledge sharing and consistent service delivery.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of desktop support experience for PCs, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Minimum of 2 years of onsite and remote support experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting mobile devices, with Apple device support preferred.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Strong experience in desktop support and end user support.
  • Proven experience in software troubleshooting and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on user satisfaction.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ITIL v3 processes within an IT service delivery environment.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to provide VPN support and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Ability to support iPhone and other mobile devices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to handle equipment and hardware as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working in specialized environments such as GxP labs or R&D spaces is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and accessible way.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and increase productivity.
  • Comfort working independently within established guidelines while collaborating effectively with project leaders and business stakeholders.

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite role, working five days a week on a first-shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position is based in a professional environment that includes standard office settings and may also involve work in specialized areas such as laboratories or R&D spaces. The role is hands-on and may require moving and setting up IT equipment, including lifting up to 50 pounds. You will work with a variety of technologies, including PCs, laptops, peripherals, mobile devices (with emphasis on Apple devices and iPhones), VPN solutions, and Microsoft Office applications, while following ITIL-based service delivery processes. The environment emphasizes strong customer service, clear communication, and close collaboration with business functions to maintain a productive and reliable digital workplace.

This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
