  • Manage pre-construction and pre-planning activities, including development and maintenance of detailed construction project schedules.
  • Leverage strong relationships with general contractors and subcontractors to support project growth and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Review and approve project budgets for labor, materials, and subcontractors, and determine appropriate allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials within budgetary limits.
  • Negotiate, draft, and execute subcontractor contracts with external vendors to secure agreements that are beneficial to the project.
  • Manage overall project finances, including profitability, cash flow, and cost control throughout the life of the project.
  • Solve complex problems related to project schedule, budget, and constructability as an active member of the project team.
  • Provide indirect leadership and guidance to construction crews to support safe, efficient, and high-quality work in the field.
  • Actively participate in design conflict identification and resolution for all trades, collaborating with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to define project specifications.
  • Lead strategic planning efforts, including coordination of project submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and the change order process.
  • Implement monthly cost reports and develop accurate cost projections to monitor and forecast project financial performance.
  • Identify, prepare, and resubmit change orders as necessary to capture scope changes and protect project financial objectives.
  • Review and approve supplier and subcontractor invoices to ensure accuracy, contract compliance, and timely payment.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards, promptly report issues, and support a strong safety culture on all project sites.
  • Project, identify, and manage CAD, fabrication, and field labor resources required to meet project milestones and quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing company procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide direct oversight and accountability for subcontractors involved in the project.
  • Provide direct leadership for project engineers (PEs) and/or assistant project managers (APMs), including guidance, support, and performance expectations.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal support services and field personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Train estimating staff on technical aspects of project management to support accurate bids and smooth project handoffs.
  • Understand company resource production capabilities and incorporate them into the construction process, including daily coordination with the superintendent.
  • Professionally solicit vendors and suppliers during the procurement process to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery.
  • Organize and curate project documentation, including work orders and personnel-related records, to maintain accurate and accessible project files.
Essential Skills
