Project Manager Expectations

· Manages less-complex projects or multiple tasks on complex projects.
· Leads external communications.
· Responsible for team or project accounting, including invoicing, workload, scheduling, scope, roles, and budgets.
· Manages team to achieve KPI's
Description
- Provide technical design expertise to the project team and ensure the overall quality of client deliverables.
- Perform technical design for assigned projects with a working knowledge of traffic engineering in civil engineering.
- Mentor and direct team members in:
- Project design (engineering calculations, computer design software, referencing engineering procedures and design manuals).
- Collecting and assembling complex project data.
- Preparing complex project documents (specifications and bid documents).
- Reviewing complex drawings to ensure clarity and thoroughness.
- Preparing quantity takeoffs.
- Managing external communications.
- Documenting projects.
- Conducting complex site observations.
- Understand and meet internal and external customers' needs and expectations; develop and improve client relationships.
- Manage preparation of reports, studies, proposals, blogs, journal articles, etc.
- Understand basic financial terms and concepts as they apply to projects.
- Account for individual project task involvement, including scheduling, scope, role, and budget.
- Track multiple task budgets and schedules.
- Lead or contribute to business development efforts.
- Develop and follow up on qualifying leads.
