What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Technician II position at Actalent?
Description - Test Engineer
This individual will be physically wiring circuits and working between the control room for the lab and analyzing data between test shots. The Test Engineer will be moving between the two labs, going in, setting up the next sample, running them, taking measurements, taking out of the test chamber, then reporting back to the engineer in the control room. They will be swapping roles with the engineer, and working with editing and uploading the video of the test shot to their online systems.
This engineer will be building, modifying, and testing prototypes and fixtures for various testing
MUST HAVES:
- 5 years’ of experience working within a Test Lab/R&D environment
- Experience reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, etc.
- Experienced with CAD operations
- Understanding DC circuitry
- Experience with oscilloscopes, voltmeters, multimeters, resistance meters, power supplies, etc. for post-test measurements (general ability to use electrical test equipment)
- Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints
Additional Skills & Qualifications
PLUS HAVES:
- Prior high-power, generator-based lab experience (5-total generator-based labs in the country, University of Illinois having one)
- Prior experience building, modifying, and testing development prototypes
- Associates Degree in Electronics

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Plaines, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
