Job Description

The Electrical Test Engineer will be responsible for executing and validating electrical tests on inverter products while also supporting electrical manufacturing activities when testing is not actively underway. The role is hands-on and production-focused, ensuring equipment operates to specification and supports stable, repeatable manufacturing processes for mass production. This position works closely with manufacturing, quality, and program teams to support equipment readiness, testing validation, and ongoing program changes. The role focuses on execution and validation of existing test procedures rather than test development.

Responsibilities

• Execute and validate low-voltage and high-voltage electrical tests for inverter products.
• Perform IR (insulation resistance) testing and EC (electrical characteristic) testing.
• Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and inverter systems to verify electrical performance.
• Confirm production equipment meets required specifications and is safe for use.
• Support electrical manufacturing activities when not actively testing, including electrical and PLC troubleshooting.
• Execute test procedures using LabVIEW and support program updates or changes within existing test systems.
• Assist with equipment verification and qualification for mass production.
• Support troubleshooting efforts for production or customer issues, including countermeasure activities.
• Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to support production stability.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of hands-on experience executing and validating electrical tests.
• Experience with low-voltage and high-voltage electrical testing.
• Experience executing test procedures (not developing test strategies from scratch).
• Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and inverter systems.
• LabVIEW experience supporting test execution and program updates.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to support electrical and basic PLC troubleshooting activities.
• Work authorization to work in the United States.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience supporting inverter or high-power electronic products.
• Automotive or EV manufacturing experience.
• Exposure to production equipment qualification or mass production environments.
• Experience working in cross-functional manufacturing teams.

Work Environment

This position involves a hands-on production and test environment, combining testing, troubleshooting, and manufacturing activities. The role offers engineers hands-on exposure to high-voltage EV systems, automated testing, and production equipment within a global manufacturing organization.

This is a Contract position based out of Greenfield, IN.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Greenfield,IN.
