Job Description
Join our team as a Clinical Research Technician in a dynamic Phase I Clinical Research Unit. This role involves working closely with telemetry systems and study protocols to ensure the safety and confidentiality of study subjects.
Responsibilities
- Review protocols and comply with study-specific activities impacting telemetry areas of responsibility.
- Communicate professionally with study subjects and unit personnel.
- Maintain accurate and complete source data.
- Perform study protocol-related activities such as telemetry monitoring.
- Assist with telemetry monitoring system setup and preparation of telemetry transmitters and related documentation.
- Participate in continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring of study subjects as required by study protocols, seeking assistance as needed.
- Assist with telemetry data review in the telemetry monitoring system and generation of reports as appropriate.
- Maintain the safety and confidentiality of study subjects throughout the study.
- Understand and comply with SOPs, FDA regulations, and basic Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Essential Skills
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical healthcare or research environment such as Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or Telemetry Technician.
- EKG, Telemetry, and Cardiac Arrhythmia experience required.
- Phlebotomy skills are essential.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in clinical research and clinical trials is beneficial.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
Work Environment
Work in a Phase I Clinical Research Unit. Training schedule is 4 weeks, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. After training, the role will transition to nights and weekends. The work environment includes comprehensive use of telemetry technologies and equipment, ensuring accurate monitoring and reporting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
