About the Role
We are looking for a Job Captain III to join a collaborative architecture team focused on high-density multifamily housing, including podium and wrap projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys technical coordination and delivering high-quality design documentation.
Responsibilities
- Produce complete Construction Documents from SD through CA phases.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and agencies to resolve design and technical issues.
- Prepare detailed plans, sections, and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
- Research codes (IBC, CBC, ADA/FHA), manage permit submittals, and ensure compliance.
- Oversee quality control, scheduling, and project documentation standards.
- Support Construction Administration by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and attending site visits.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Job Captain or Technical Design on podium and wrap multifamily projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
- Strong understanding of construction types I–V and multifamily building systems.
- Knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards (IBC, CBC, ADA/FHA).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture; licensure or active pursuit preferred.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Experience
- Work on mid-rise podium and wrap projects at 100 units/acre density.
- Familiarity with mass timber or high-rise systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Oakland, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.00/hr.
