Job Description
The Systems Test Engineer will primarily focus on scripting and executing system tests. These tests are black box, end-to-end, and predefined. The engineer will design and execute these tests to ensure the system functions correctly. In cases where tests fail, the engineer will troubleshoot the issues. The role involves collaborating with product design and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities
- Script and execute predefined black box, end-to-end system tests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues when tests do not pass.
- Collaborate with product design and manufacturing teams.
- Design tests to align with test plans and requirements.
- Document test procedures with strong technical writing skills.
- Define system test requirements and interface cross-functionally with hardware and software teams.
- Participate in testing software/hardware integration.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field.
- 1 year of experience in creating tests that match test plans/requirements and scripting.
- Experience in system-level, black box, or formal verification testing.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Background in electro-mechanical systems including software, firmware, and hardware components.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as C , Python, or C#.
- Ability to define system test requirements and interface cross-functionally.
- Preferred Background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a focus on hardware.
- Experience in RF and Aerospace industries.
The role is based on-site in Hood River, requiring attendance 5 days a week. The position involves lab work and the use of specialized equipment on-site.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Salmon, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
