Job Description
Join a team dedicated to advancing national security by translating mission objectives into clear, traceable system and subsystem requirements. This role involves decomposing top-level requirements to enable integration across domains and systems-of-systems, while developing and maintaining end-to-end system architectures.
Responsibilities
- Translate mission objectives and CONOPS into clear, traceable system and subsystem requirements with integration in mind.
- Decompose top-level requirements into allocations that enable cross-domain and system-of-systems integration.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end system architectures, emphasizing data flows, timing, interfaces, and architecture and requirements trade studies.
- Ensure requirements and architectural decisions explicitly support downstream integration and verification.
- Define and manage system interfaces, including Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and interface requirements.
- Drive integration strategies and plans early in the lifecycle to reduce technical and programmatic risk.
- Identify and mitigate integration risks related to interfaces, dependencies, assumptions, and external systems.
- Coordinate integration considerations across hardware, software, communications, networking, and data processing elements.
- Serve as a technical integrator across internal teams, external partners, and government stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with subsystem leads, chief engineers, and program leadership to ensure architectural alignment.
- Provide integration-focused technical inputs to SRR, PDR, and CDR, emphasizing readiness for build and test.
- Support technical interchange meetings (TIMs) with government and industry partners.
- Maintain technical documentation supporting requirements traceability, architectural decisions, and integration rationale.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM field.
- Experience working on the left side of the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development and architecture definition.
- Demonstrated experience in systems integration for complex or distributed defense, aerospace, or R&D programs.
- Strong understanding of system-of-systems challenges, interface management, and dependency control.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting DARPA or advanced DoD R&D programs.
- Background in distributed architectures, sensors, data fusion, communications, or networked systems.
- Familiarity with MBSE approaches and tools and requirements management tools.
- Strong technical communication skills with the ability to brief complex architectures and integration concepts to senior leadership and government customers.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $81.00/hr.
