What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Analyst position at Actalent?
Actalent is seeking a dedicated Systems Analyst to contribute to the development of a large complex DoD system, for a client located in Moorestown, NJ. This is a full time role, that involves benefits, pto, etc. The environment is dynamic, supporting fast-paced Agile development, and requires effective communication and collaboration. The role involves using mathematical models and simulations to analyze system-level impacts and assess design changes. Position does not require an active clearance to start, but must be eligible to receive one.
Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis using mathematical models and simulations to support combat system and system of system assessments.
- Perform TPM assessment and root cause analysis in support of program design reviews.
- Conduct trade studies to determine system-level impacts of design implementations within element simulations.
- Demonstrate understanding of adversary threat systems, including CONOPS, kinematics, and radar return signatures.
- Evaluate and implement systems analysis processes.
- Operate the Medusa model and demonstrate an understanding of its workings.
- Be knowledgeable of systems requirements related to performance and functional specifications against each threat set for each mission area.
- Read and debug C /Java code.
- Identify sources of problems and/or failures in models, inputs, and design/requirements.
- Collaborate with element engineers to create and review Change Requests (CR) and provide feedback.
- Review, update, and create scripts in MATLAB/Python for model performance metrics.
- Utilize configuration management processes for version control of scripts.
- Understand statistical methods and performance requirements.
- Prepare slides for meeting presentations.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in business systems analysis.
- Experience with MATLAB and Python.
- Familiarity with Agile development environments.
- Experience with root cause analysis and applied mathematics.
- Proficiency with debugging and computer system performance analysis tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
