Job Title: Survey Crew Chief

Job Description

Our client is a leading surveying firm with over 30 years of experience in land surveying, and specialize in services like construction stakeouts, boundary surveys, and 3D laser scanning, serving industries such as construction, engineering, and land development. They are hiring a Survey Party Chief to support their projects in the Baltimore, MD area!

**This position does require the ability to travel to projects along the Mid-Atlantic Region - a take home company vehicle will be provided!**

Responsibilities

• Performing all phases of field surveying including Construction Stakeout, Topographical Surveys, Preliminary Boundary Analysis/Stake Out, and As-Built surveys while utilizing tools like Trimble/Leica/Spectre robotic total stations, data collectors, auto-levels, GPS RTK Units, wireless communications, 3D Laser Scanners, etc.
• Assist in the financial management of survey projects, including contract preparation, billing reports, invoicing and collections.
• Conduct field calculations and sketches; downloading and checking data while being held accountable to accuracy of all survey documents.
• Maintain and take care of all company equipment and vehicles and ensuring setup is in a secure environment with proper safety precautions in place.
• Complete field calculations and sketches and downloading and compiling the data
• Prepare ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Boundary & Topographic Surveys, As-Built Surveys, and Profiles
• Create surveys from field crew data collector files (points), field sketches, digital photographs and reference maps
• Generate surfaces using 3d polylines & points
• Coordinate project requirements with team members and provide assistance when necessary to complete required tasks
• Quality control of all survey documents, including survey plans, record plots, metes and bounds descriptions, and review of title commitment reports. Includes peer review of other office project teams' deliverables.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of land surveying experience (topographic surveys, boundary surveys, ALTAs, as-builts, construction stakeouts, commercial projects, etc.)
• Experience utilizing surveying tools such as Trimble, Leica, Total Station, etc.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D or Carlson software is preferred
• High School Diploma and strong math and computer skills.
• Dependability and punctuality.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $83200.00/yr.
