Survey Cad Technician

We are seeking a talented Survey CAD Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating survey documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary, and Topographic Surveys, as well as Right-of-way Plats. You will research deeds and record documents that affect real estate title rights, create land parcel descriptions, and interpret deed and easement documents while examining commercial title commitments. Additionally, you will prepare calculations for field crews and maintain electronic document file structures and naming conventions in accordance with company or client standards. You will also participate in improving and implementing CAD standards.

Responsibilities

• Create survey documents in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary, Topographic Surveys, and Right-of-way Plats.
• Research deeds and record documents affecting real estate title rights.
• Create land parcel descriptions and interpret deed and easement documents.
• Examine commercial title commitments.
• Prepare calculations for field crews.
• Maintain electronic document file structure and naming conventions.
• Participate in improving and implementing CAD standards.

• 3 years of Survey CAD Drafting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD with strong knowledge of Civil 3D.
• Ability to understand the land surveying industry.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work with field crews.

• Experience with Civil design and land development.
• Familiarity with ALTA surveys and survey drafting.

The role is based out of the Naperville office, where the individual will report to the Survey Department Manager. The preference is for the individual to be in the office all five days, especially at the start. This position is open due to an increase in workload with no anticipated slowdown. The individual will have their own desk and laptop and will have opportunities to assist the civil team if knowledgeable in site grading. There is potential for career growth into a leadership role within the office to help expand the survey CAD team. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
