Surgery Medical Assistant** 20-23/HR

We are seeking a dedicated and certified Medical Assistant specializing in surgery to join our healthcare team. The role involves patient care, managing patient flow, and supporting other medical assistants in delivering top-notch care.

Responsibilities

• Room patients efficiently and effectively.
• Record and monitor patient vitals.
• Chart patient information using the EPIC EHR system.
• Verify and manage patient medications.
• Assist fellow Medical Assistants in rooming patients.
• Direct and manage the flow of patients throughout the facility.

• Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is mandatory from day one.
• Certification must be from a proctored in-person exam.
• Experience with EPIC EHR system software.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant.

• Certifications accepted from: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR).

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role involves working in a dynamic healthcare environment, where collaboration and patient-centered care are prioritized.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
