Job Title: Supply Chain Planning Engineer Decatur, IL
Job Description
As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing facility performance to meet corporate targets, thereby improving order-to-delivery results. This position involves spending a significant portion of time on the weld line, with 50-75% of your time dedicated to floor activities. You will lead initiatives to develop and implement the Plan for Every Part, aiming to optimize throughput efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain processes for manufacturing areas, including standard work, material handling equipment, and floor layouts.
- Maintain the Plan for Every Part for 2,000 to 5,000 part numbers across manufacturing value streams.
- Document processes and integrate them into various planning tools.
- Support the design and implementation of material packaging and containerization solutions for the facility.
- Enhance manufacturing areas' performance through continuous improvement processes, incident investigation, and Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA).
- Resolve systemic supply chain-related problems.
Essential Skills
- Bachelors degree with interest in supply chain or associates degree with 2 years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds and work on the floor.
- Strong math skills.
- Blueprint reading.
- Technical degree in industrial technology or engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CPS, RIW, and Value Stream Transformation processes.
- Experience in the development and deployment of Supply Chain processes.
- Experience with Microsoft Access.
- Background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management, and/or Logistics.
Work Environment
This role requires spending a significant amount of time on the manufacturing floor, engaging in hands-on activities and process improvements. The work environment is dynamic, involving collaboration with various departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations. Candidates should be comfortable in a manufacturing setting, and be able to handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving materials.

This is a Contract position based out of Champaign, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
