Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team, specializing in commercial and some residential construction projects within the Capital Region. Our projects range from heavy commercial to hospitality, entertainment, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors and manage their daily activities on-site.
• Ensure quality control and make necessary adjustments to ensure work meets standards.
• Oversee daily operations on the construction site, including creating schedules, running project meetings, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Act as the onsite manager, addressing any issues raised by subcontractors.
• Focus on health and safety on the construction site.
• Communicate effectively with the project team back in the office.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management.
• Strong background in commercial and industrial projects.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and push them to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and daily documentation.
• Experience with Procore for daily reporting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• An associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
• Experience in skilled trades, particularly carpentry, is advantageous.
• Open to individuals with foreman experience ready to advance to a superintendent role.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards.

Work Environment

Work involves a 5-day week, 10-hour days, primarily from a trailer in the field. The position requires flexibility to work within the entire Northeast region, staying within 2 hours of the Capital Region. The role is mainly union-based, with some exceptions. The superintendent typically starts at 6:30 AM and finishes around 4 PM, with some Saturdays required. The role offers growth opportunities in a company with a steady backlog of work. A hands-on approach is necessary as profit margins can be tight, requiring active management and accountability of subcontractors.

This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, NY.

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

Truck allowance, Medical benefits, Will cover expenses if traveling

This is a fully onsite position in Troy,NY.

This position is anticipated to close on Mar 13, 2026.
