Job Description

The Superintendent is responsible for providing overall on-site leadership for construction projects, overseeing both self-perform crews and subcontractors. This role partners closely with the Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute work safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining quality standards and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Walk the job at project start to review plans, perform MEP coordination, and identify discrepancies.
• Manage daily trade activities and maintain jobsite cleanliness and ICRA compliance.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure work is completed per contract documents and approved submittals.
• Manage schedules, produce weekly updates and 2-week look-aheads, and coordinate inspections.
• Proactively mitigate risk and lead quality control efforts, including pre-punch walks and inspection readiness.
• Minimize rework with a strong focus on achieving near-zero punchlist outcomes.
• Provide hands-on leadership and strong decision-making in active facilities while protecting finishes.

Essential Skills

• Experience in healthcare construction.
• Proficiency in tool skills and having come up through trades.
• Experience leading inspections and coordinating with AHJs and healthcare authorities.
• Ability to identify constructability risks early and proactively resolve field challenges.
• Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, high-compliance environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to adopt and train teams on new field and project management technologies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Fort Lauderdale,FL.
