Superintendent - Vertical Buildings

Actalent is in search for (2) Superintendents who will be responsible for the on-site leadership, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects ranging from $500K to $30M. This role oversees daily field operations, ensures safety compliance, manages subcontractor performance, and drives projects toward successful completion in alignment with schedule, quality, and budget expectations.

Field Leadership & Execution

• Manage all on-site construction activities and lead daily field operations.
• Develop and execute short-interval schedules to maintain overall project timelines.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and materials delivery.
• Ensure work is completed to quality standards and complies with project plans, specifications, and building codes.

Safety Management

• Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards to protect workers and the public.
• Communication & Coordination
• Act as the primary on-site point of contact for project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Participate in OAC, coordination, and subcontractor meetings.
• Provide clear daily communication regarding project progress, issues, and needs.
• Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain daily reports, progress photos, manpower logs, and documentation.
• Support RFI, submittal, and change management processes.
• Ensure project site complies with environmental, regulatory, and permitting requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years of commercial construction experience in a superintendent or assistant superintendent role.
• Experience with project sizes ranging from $500K to $30M.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, sequencing, and trade coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Proficiency with construction management software and digital tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ground-up, tenant improvement, healthcare, hospitality, or mixed-use commercial projects.
• Familiarity with local subcontractor market and permitting processes.
• Certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or similar.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Honolulu, HI.

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $170000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Honolulu,HI.
