Job Title: Triple Hat Construction Professional (Safety, Supervision, and Quality Control)

Job Description

This role supports a water treatment plant project in Macy, Nebraska, for a Bureau of Indian Affairs initiative. The position runs through the end of August and requires an experienced construction professional who can effectively combine site supervision, safety oversight, and quality control responsibilities on a commercial or industrial construction project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities at the water treatment plant project site to ensure work progresses safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Coordinate and supervise field crews, subcontractors, and on-site operations to maintain schedule and quality standards.
• Implement and enforce safety programs and procedures on site, ensuring full compliance with OSHA 30 standards and project-specific safety requirements.
• Serve as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), conducting regular safety inspections, identifying hazards, and driving corrective actions.
• Perform Quality Control Manager (QCM) duties, including inspecting work, verifying materials and workmanship, and documenting quality control activities.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to guide field execution and resolve issues as they arise.
• Maintain detailed daily reports, logs, and documentation related to safety, quality, and progress.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to address field challenges, coordinate work sequences, and support timely completion of project milestones.
• Ensure all construction work meets commercial/industrial construction standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support project closeout activities by verifying that work is completed to required quality standards and that all documentation is accurate and up to date.

Essential Skills

• At least 5 years of commercial or industrial construction experience.
• Proven experience in a construction environment with responsibilities spanning supervision, safety, and quality control.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and field coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Experience acting as a superintendent, Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), or Quality Control Manager (QCM) on construction projects.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with crews, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Solid documentation skills for maintaining accurate records of safety, quality, and daily site activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience on water treatment plant or similar infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to balance multiple roles in supervision, safety, and quality control on a single project.
• Proactive, hands-on approach to field problem-solving and issue resolution.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Work Environment

This role is based on-site at a water treatment plant construction project in Macy, Nebraska. Work takes place in a commercial/industrial construction environment with active field operations, equipment, and trades present. The position is project-based and is expected to continue through the end of August, with work hours aligned to typical construction schedules and the needs of the project. The work environment requires regular presence in outdoor and semi-outdoor conditions, walking the site, climbing, and standing for extended periods while monitoring safety, supervising crews, and performing quality inspections.

This is a Contract position based out of Macy, NE.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
