Studio Engineering - Propulsion/Driveline Systems

Overview:

• We have partnered with this major automotive manufacturer (OEM) to support a substantial investment to develop their future line of vehicles.
• This project will be part of a multi-billion dollar investment to develop the companies newest lines of electric vehicles.
• This position is a remote role tied to the company's Research & Development departments. Rare travel to the United States is required for important meetings.
• This role is on an open-ended contract with the program expected to go on for at least 3 years.

Job Description:

The Studio Engineer is required for conducting Vehicle Architecture Feasibility (Quick Loop) Studies including:

- System Level Design Development of New Vehicle Concepts

- Propulsion and Chassis Packaging Proposals & Investigations

- Feasibility Assessments of New Platforms(architectures), Technologies and Components

- Support of the Development Process for New Platform Variants

- Establish Platform Layout - CAD Geometry of the Concept

- Position requires interface with suppliers and internal cross-functional areas within Chrysler, strong verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving capability.

Base Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Engineering

- 1 year of relevant automotive experience

- Experience with/Familiarity of Chassis/Propulsion Systems including suspension, steering, engine and driveline systems

- Design experience including:

-- Ability to develop 2D section proposals

-- Ability to create 3D modeling properties/mockups & Engineering counter proposals

-- Multi task (support several programs simultaneously)

-- GD&T knowledge (challenging Best Practice clearance requirements)

Preferred Qualifications:

· Masters degree

· Experience with Chrysler release systems (NX & Teamcenter)

· 5 years minimum Product Design or Packaging

· A2MAC software knowledge
