Currently hiring for a Structural Drafter, utilizing SDS2, in Omaha, Nebraska!!

Job Description

The structural drafter develops 3D models and 2D drawings using SDS2 software for structural steel components. Interprets architectural and structural drawings to ensure accurate detailing. Collaborates with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to resolve design issues and incorporate changes. Generates RFIs and track revisions to maintain drawing accuracy and compliance. Ensures all deliverables meet AISC standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze contract drawings and specifications to fully understand project requirements.
• Collaborate with estimators to produce, review, and revise shop drawings, ensuring clarity and addressing inquiries promptly.
• Oversee drawing revisions, ensuring seamless communication of updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Use standard tools to deliver precise detailing for structural steel fabrication and erection.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of experience using SDS2 in a structural steel detailing environment.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection practices.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents.
• Familiarity with AISC codes and detailing standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD or similar software.
• Exposure to fabrication shop workflows and CNC integration.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
