Structural Design Engineer

As a Structural Design Engineer, you will perform structural engineering analysis and design for bridge and transportation-related structures, with additional exposure to building structures including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems. Primary duties will focus on bridge structural design and inspection, but we are seeking a versatile engineer with broad interests in structural engineering, including building structures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Perform site inspections for projects engineered by our office.
• Complete and review design calculations; assist in preparing drawings and specifications.
• Provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects.
• Coordinate work products with other in-house engineering staff and architects.
• Contribute to projects ranging from small renovations to large-scale infrastructure and new construction.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• 4-8 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in structural design and engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Understanding and application of code requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• PE preferred (EIT required; active progress toward licensure expected).
• Experience in using various civil/analysis software.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
