Job Description
A Design Engineer role that involves collaborating with senior engineers to develop designs for signage and architectural branding elements. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a fundamental understanding and appreciation of building construction and metal fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Interface with Project Management to define customer requirements.
- Develop fabrication methods based on renderings of the final product.
- Work closely with CADD Designers to fully document designs.
- Resolve fabrication issues on the shop floor.
- Update designs based on shop or engineering feedback.
- Apply consistent logic to standardize sign families.
- Reference past jobs to adapt or reuse design details.
- Support Project Management in resolving technical issues in Production and in the field.
- Experience with technical drawings and AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of materials and manufacturing or construction.
- Effective and practical design skills.
- Understanding of UL48 and applicable Building Codes.
- Experience in structural engineering and design.
- Preferred knowledge of fabrication details, machine, and material limitations.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural building drawings.
- Project risk recognition and mitigation skills.
- Manufacturing experience.
The position involves working primarily in an office setting, with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor to review products. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and practical application.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
