What are the responsibilities and job description for the Storm Water Design Engineer position at Actalent?
As a Storm Water Design Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting site investigations and due diligence to establish comprehensive development guidelines. You will design stormwater management and conveyance systems using hydrology design software, and work on the design of civil infrastructure, including roads, drainage, grading, and more. You will also prepare detailed reports, planning studies, and technical deliverables.
Responsibilities- Conduct site investigations and due diligence, including reviewing ordinances, utility services, and agency regulations.
- Design stormwater management and conveyance systems using hydrology design software.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Development Software for civil infrastructure design.
- Design site planning, roads, drainage, grading, earthworks, and other municipal infrastructure.
- Perform hydraulic and hydrology modeling with software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and SWMM.
- Develop and prepare reports, planning studies, specifications, and detailed design drawings.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Experience in civil engineering, land development, and site development.
- Knowledge of stormwater design, grading, and permitting.
- Ability to conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis using PC SWMM, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with data center, commercial, or industrial projects.
- EIT or PE certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated accountability and commitment.
This position offers a remote work environment, allowing flexibility in work hours as long as projects and deadlines are met. You will collaborate with a team of civil engineers, and should be capable of working independently with minimal training. We focus on multi-discipline engineering planning and design, and work on innovative projects with some of the largest tech companies in the world.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
