Description
Produce detailed shop drawings from provided design drawings for shop fabrication.
- Typical detailed components will include: support steel, platework, panels, stairs, and walkway access.
- Generate erection drawings for job site assembly.
- Create material cut lists and burn table templates from design drawings for the shop.
- Ability to detail basic AISC standard connections based upon engineer provided loads is beneficial.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in steel platework fabrication and/or structural steel fabrication industries.
- AutoCAD proficiency with an emphasis in 2D detailing, although 3D experience is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication, welding, and bolting.
- Excellent math skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Vocational training in drafting is preferred, but not required with consideration of proven work history.

This is a Contract position based out of Pensacola, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
