Job Description

The Senior Staff DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in designing, enabling, and optimizing Google Cloud Platform infrastructure to support AI and Data Analytics teams. This position focuses on cloud architecture, Terraform-based infrastructure deployment, platform engineering, and ensuring operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud technologies to support data analytics environments.
• Develop AI-enabled cloud solutions and build scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product Performance, Data & Analytics, and Cloud Platform teams.
• Ensure operational readiness through cloud architecture and platform engineering.
• Support enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform environments.

Essential Skills

• Deep expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting Google Cloud Platform environments.
• Strong experience with Terraform Cloud and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Hands-on platform engineering experience with AI and data analytics technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation and cloud services.
• Comfortable with cloud infrastructure architecture and operational readiness.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 5 years of GCP platform engineering experience.
• 3 years of Terraform Cloud experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, or data analytics platforms.
• Strong cloud architecture and design experience.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple technical teams.
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills.

Work Environment

Fully remote Pacific Time team environment within a Cloud Platform and DevOps engineering organization. Engaging in cross-functional collaboration with Product Performance, R&D, and Data & Analytics teams. Focused on cloud architecture, platform engineering, AI enablement, and infrastructure automation. Hands-on work with Terraform, GCP, AI, and analytics platforms in an Agile development environment, operating during standard business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PT).

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
