Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Formulation Chemist to develop chemical formulas for urethanes, epoxies, silicones, coatings, and other materials. This role involves performing application testing and quality control to ensure that products meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in formulation chemistry, specifically with urethanes, epoxies, or silicones, and will be adept at scaling up production processes and resolving technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop chemical formulas for urethanes, epoxies, silicones, coatings, and other materials.
• Perform all application testing and quality control tests to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Operate various application testing equipment such as universal testers, dispersers, viscometers, and durometers.
• Collaborate with the production team to scale up the production of new or specific formulas.
• Assist technical support groups in resolving customer issues.
• Fill out technical data sheets, documenting the formula, production process, and required quality control checks.
• Manage multiple projects weekly, including formula development and testing applications.

Essential Skills

• Experience in formulation chemistry for urethanes, epoxies, or silicones.
• Ability to develop formulas and scale them up for production.
• Experience with application testing and setting quality control parameters.
• Skills in troubleshooting technical issues during manufacturing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with physical chemistry blending.
• Product development.
• Knowledge of toluene diisocyanate.

Work Environment

Work in a chemistry lab developing formulas and using various instrumentation. Responsibilities also include administrative tasks related to project management. The position is for the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30/4:30 p.m. Collaborate with all levels of the organization. This is a Permanent position based out of Brookfield, WI.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Brookfield,WI.
