Job Description
The Specimen Processor assists the Lab Control Supervisor in managing the daily operations of the Laboratory Control department, which is responsible for the receipt, processing, and dispatch of specimens for all users of the Clinical Laboratories. This role involves interacting with a diverse range of personnel, answering pertinent questions, and providing information according to established policies.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for all inquiries to the Clinical Laboratories.
- Respond appropriately to inquiries on various topics, such as test information, processing requirements, and adding tests to specimens.
- Refer callers with laboratory-specific inquiries to the appropriate laboratory supervisor as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a laboratory or cleanroom highly preferred.
- High school diploma or GED, collegiate degree in a science discipline preferred.
- Strong math skills and ability to use a pipette.
- Proficient in computer and data entry tasks.
This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
