Job Title: Software Validation Engineer

Job Description

The Validation & Verification (V&V) Engineer will be an integral part of the product test team, supporting a software product with an adaptive therapy feature for the precision Radixact platform. The role involves installing software in a Windows environment, configuring Windows, and servicing the computer. The engineer will create test cases based on design requirements, perform system-level validation and verification test cases, including dry runs and executing formal test cases that they may or may not have written. The candidate should be adept at identifying and isolating defects, writing effective test cases, and ensuring repeatable results. This role is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure software in a Windows environment.
• Service the computer and ensure proper functioning.
• Create test cases based on design requirements.
• Perform system-level validation and verification test cases, including dry runs.
• Execute formal test cases, including those not written by the engineer.
• Identify and isolate defects effectively.
• Ensure test cases produce repeatable and reliable results.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 3 years of experience with creating and editing test plans
• 3 years of experience with test execution
• 3 years of experience with Java applications
• 3 years of experience with isolating issues and problem-solving

Work Environment

The engineer will work fairly independently, writing test cases and requirements, as well as executing these tests. This role offers great long-term opportunities for exposure to the R&D space and the medical device industry.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $45.67/hr.
