Software Test Engineer

Overview:

We are currently hiring Software Test Engineers in Newport News, VA. These will offer a hybrid work schedule.

Description:

• Will be taking manual test scripts and automate them using software.
• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
• Ensures software standards are met.

Qualifications:

• US Citizenship.
• BS Degree.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of software testing.
• Knowledge of automated testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca or OpenText UFT.
• Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of agile software development principles.
• Logical thinking.
• Problem solving abilities.

This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, VA.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
