Job Title: Software Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Software Technician, where you'll work with cutting-edge tools like the Computer Vision Annotation Tool (CVAT) to select, annotate, and audit data crucial for AI training. You'll gain hands-on experience with data from diverse industries including Marine Autonomy Systems, Mining Safety Monitoring Systems, and Government Programs of Record. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Utilize CVAT to accurately annotate and label images and data sets.
• Select data precisely to improve AI system accuracy and efficiency.
• Audit data annotated by AI auto-annotation systems to ensure correctness.
• Conduct diligent quality assurance of data, checking and correcting mistakes for accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Actively learn and apply knowledge of data usage in AI training.
• Collaborate with AI engineers and ML experts for system efficiency improvement.
• Contribute to the understanding of how well-annotated data impacts machine learning model performance.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in data handling and computer science principles.
• Understanding of computer vision and AI.
• Interest in AI and machine learning.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming or Computer Science.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
