Join our dynamic team as a Software Engineer, where you will focus on developing and testing software for embedded systems. Responsibilities
- Conduct unit testing of flight/embedded code, primarily in C.
- Write and maintain unit tests directly tied to implementation.
- Debug code and logic at a detailed level, beyond just system behavior.
- Participate in the transition into flight code and product development.
- Work deeply within the codebase, modifying or extending existing code safely.
- Conduct black-box testing to validate inputs and outputs without accessing internal code.
- Engage in system and acceptance-style verification, understanding system behavior.
- Design and execute tests where documentation defines what to test.
- Identify gaps in test coverage and reproduce issues consistently.
- Develop test scripts in C or JavaScript, focusing on automation and maintainability.
Essential Skills
- Entry level BS grad in EE, CE, CS; 0-1 years of internships or capstone projects related to the required skills.
- Proficiency in C programming, with the ability to read, understand, and debug existing code.
- Experience in embedded systems and low-level software projects.
- Strong knowledge of unit testing and black-box testing concepts.
- Technical writing skills for documentation-driven development.
- Familiarity with automated testing concepts and frameworks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with JavaScript and/or Python for unit test tooling.
- Exposure to STP or system-style testing in C or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with C# scripting, aerospace or systems exposure, and EE/ECE background.
- Understanding of timers, clock distribution, serial communication (SPI/I2C/UART), edge-triggered interrupts, ADCs/DACs, and servicing interrupts.
Work Environment
This role requires on-site work for the first nine months, followed by flexible arrangements. You'll be part of a very collaborative team, working in both office and lab spaces, and engaging in field testing. This entry-level position offers excellent growth opportunities in advanced electronics design within the UAS industry.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.87 - $4087.00/hr.
