You will contribute to both functional and non-functional testing, ensuring that features meet acceptance criteria and user story requirements while building scalable automation solutions around the Flutter platform and related mobile technologies.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing across mobile applications.
- Build scalable and reusable test automation solutions around the Flutter platform to support multiple product teams.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD YAML pipelines using a test automation platform built on Azure DevOps.
- Partner with the test automation platform team to enhance and extend the platform capabilities used by many product teams.
- Collaborate with developers, verification engineers, and product owners to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality goals.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, performance, and reliability testing to ensure high-quality releases.
- Implement shift-left testing practices to embed quality early in the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability, reliability, and adherence to quality standards.
- Work closely with DevOps, the test automation platform team, and developers to improve release pipelines and automate reliability checks.
- Partner with the development team to contribute to feature and functionality development where needed.
- Design meaningful, deterministic tests aligned with requirements and risk controls.
- Maintain and improve automated tests over time, focusing on reliability, stability, and ease of maintenance.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on mobile app development experience in Flutter and/or iOS and/or Android (Kotlin), contributing directly to production codebases.
- At least 4 years of experience designing and implementing automated tests for mobile applications, including unit, UI/widget, and integration tests, with ongoing test maintenance and reliability improvements.
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture, state management, and data flow, with the ability to apply this knowledge to improve testability and reliability.
- Ability to read, reason about, and contribute to production code, and provide constructive code review feedback.
- Proficiency in designing meaningful, deterministic tests that align with functional requirements and risk controls.
- Skilled in unit, widget/UI, integration, and end-to-end testing approaches for mobile applications.
- Experience building reliable mobile automation, such as Flutter integration tests, simulators/mocks, and API automation.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Background in automation and SDET practices, with hands-on experience in Kotlin, iOS, or embedded systems as relevant to mobile testing.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as IEC-related standards.
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) interaction testing, including pairing, reconnect behavior, retries, error states, and diagnosing failure modes across mobile, embedded devices, and cloud boundaries.
- Familiarity with structured verification workflows and tooling, including test management and traceability systems.
- Experience in regulated environments, such as medical devices or Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), particularly regulated mobile applications.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and product teams.
- Attention to detail and a passion for building reliable, maintainable test automation solutions.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
