Senior Superintendent

The Senior Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field operations and managing the day-to-day activities on industrial construction projects. This role ensures that mechanical scopes—including piping, HVAC, plumbing, and process systems—are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage field crews and subcontractors performing mechanical work.
• Coordinate with general contractors, other trades, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
• Monitor project progress and adjust schedules and manpower as needed.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal codes and standards.
• Review mechanical drawings and specifications to ensure proper installation.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Resolve field issues and discrepancies promptly.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
• Coordinate material deliveries and equipment needs.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.
• Supervise and mentor foremen and field personnel.
• Evaluate performance and provide feedback.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• 10 years of experience in mechanical construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven track record managing industrial projects, such as manufacturing plants, refineries, power generation.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including piping, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools.

• Industrial Experience

Primarily field-based at industrial job sites. May require travel depending on project location. Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction environments.

This is a Permanent position based out of Apex, NC.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
