Job Description
The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations leads second-shift production in a fast-paced environment to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. This role develops a high-performing team while aligning production with customer demand, engineering changes, and material availability. The position emphasizes continuous improvement, KPI management, and a strong culture of safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead second-shift manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
- Develop, coach, and manage supervisors and technicians
- Align production priorities with demand, engineering changes, and material availability
- Partner with engineering, supply chain, and cross-functional teams to resolve bottlenecks
- Drive continuous improvement using structured problem-solving methods
- Track and report KPIs; implement corrective actions as needed
- Promote and enforce a strong culture of safety and compliance
- Optimize equipment utilization and manufacturing efficiency
- Support implementation of engineering and process changes
- Utilize ERP systems (SAP preferred) for planning and performance tracking
- Communicate goals, expectations, and performance feedback clearly
Essential Skills
- 10 years of manufacturing operations experience, including 7 years leading supervisors and hourly teams
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities
- Experience in fast-paced production environments
- Hands-on process improvement and problem-solving experience
- Experience working with capital equipment
- Background in semiconductor or complex manufacturing environments preferred
- ERP experience (SAP strongly preferred)
- Ability to work second shift (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM)
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or equivalent experience

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $184000.00/yr.
