Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

Support product design for startups with products that are not fully mature or haven't entered production yet. Act as a customer-facing expert, providing design feedback and improvements for manufacturability, especially for clients with immature designs. The role requires leadership and mentorship capabilities to guide and educate newer engineers on the team. The first project will involve bringing a sourced component in-house for manufacturing for a specific client.

Responsibilities

• Design control panels, PLCs, and large systems controls.
• Provide expert feedback on design improvements for manufacturability.
• Lead and mentor newer engineers within the team.
• Support startups in improving the design of their products.
• Engage with clients to provide customer-facing expertise.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience in hardware design and electrical engineering.
• Proficiency in PLC design and large form factor products.
• Experience with HVAC thermal and liquid cooling systems.
• Knowledge of control and power distribution systems (PLC oriented).
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong customer communication skills.
• Experience with fluid systems and thermal engineering.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large manufacturing facility where products are manufactured for multiple customers. This facility has experienced significant growth, expanding from 1 to 3 customers this year and expecting to add 2 to 5 more in the next year. The opportunity allows for significant professional growth and the chance to support newer companies in enhancing their product designs.

This is a Contract position based out of Grantsville, UT.

The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $57.69/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Grantsville,UT.
