Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Configuration Management Specialist to collaborate with stakeholders in developing and implementing Configuration Management (CM) and Quality Assurance (QA) related procedures. The role involves working across mechanical, electrical, and software domains to identify metrics supporting continuous improvement. The specialist will administer and optimize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Data Management (PDM) environments, such as Arena and SolidWorks PDM, to enhance program efficiency and maintain data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement CM and QA procedures, identifying metrics for continuous improvement.
- Administer and optimize PLM/PDM environments including Arena and SolidWorks PDM.
- Manage changes to technical documentation, parts lists, drawings, and software according to standards.
- Track change requests, deviations, and waivers through review and approval cycles.
- Coordinate the processing, review, and documentation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Deviation (RFD), and Requests for Waiver (RFW).
- Support Change Control Boards (CCBs) and Failure Review Boards (FRBs).
- Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments of configuration items (CIs) to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage the execution of Arena, SolidWorks, and Git as required.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CM and QA, supporting government programs related to software and hardware.
- Expert-level experience with Arena PLM and SolidWorks PDM.
- In-depth knowledge of CM and QA standards, particularly MIL-HDBK-61 and related DoD guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of applicable experience, or equivalent experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with additional PLM/PDM tools.
- Active Secret or Top-Secret security clearance is a plus.
Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid work environment, initially requiring onsite presence three days a week, with flexibility to work from home once established. The focus is on completing work in an environment that suits employees best.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilmington, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
