Job Description
The Senior Clinical Trial Associate is responsible for supporting the Clinical Operations Team in the planning, execution, and management of clinical trials. This role involves direct liaison with cross-functional teams, investigational sites, CROs, and other ancillary vendors. Key responsibilities include managing trial operational tasks, tracking and logging study progress, ensuring high-quality records management, and assisting with the review and coordination of clinical study plans in compliance with regulatory requirements, SOPs, and study timelines.
Responsibilities
- Support the Clinical Operations Team in planning, execution, and management of clinical trials.
- Act as a liaison with cross-functional teams, investigational sites, CROs, and ancillary vendors.
- Manage relevant trial operational tasks.
- Track and log study progress.
- Ensure high-quality records management.
- Assist with the review and coordination of clinical study plans.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, SOPs, and study timelines.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science or healthcare-related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a CTA or Sr. CTA role in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Oncology/solid tumor experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with cloud-based systems, clinical trial management software platforms, and TMF management systems.
- Strong understanding of GCP, ICH, clinical research regulations, and clinical trial processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a small biotech or startup environment with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- 3 years of sponsor CTA experience.
- Oncology experience is required.
- Small biotech/startup experience is strongly preferred.
Work Environment
This position starts as fully remote, with plans to transition into a hybrid role once office space is established around Boston by the summer of 2026. Candidates need to be local to Massachusetts.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Boston, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
