Scientific Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a Scientific Technician to join a donor processing and manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for performing laboratory testing, operating analytical equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

• Perform and troubleshoot donor suitability testing and other laboratory assays.
• Conduct routine analytical testing using manual and automated methods.
• Analyze and document test results against established controls.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Complete Quality Control (QC) activities and preventative maintenance according to SOPs.
• Use laboratory information systems to manage sample workflow and test data.
• Maintain compliance with cGMP, regulatory, and safety requirements.
• Follow Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with laboratory personnel and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support operations.

Shift:

• Monday - Friday
• 2:00PM - 10:30PM

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related scientific field.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Preferred

• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification.
• Tennessee laboratory licensure.
• 2 years of laboratory experience.

Work Environment

This position is based in a laboratory and office environment within a donor processing facility. Employees work with analytical instruments, laboratory information systems, and regulated processes while following established quality and safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have a scientific experience, strong attention to detail, and an interest in building a career in laboratory operations, healthcare, or biomanufacturing.

This is a Contract position based out of Knoxville, TN.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Knoxville,TN.
