Job Description
The Sample Prep Technician will be responsible for initiating, executing, and completing media preparation while maintaining effective communication with the team regarding deadlines, scheduling issues, and updates on the work environment. The role requires adherence to GMP documentation, maintenance of reagent inventories, and ensuring a clean laboratory workspace. This position is integral to the preparation of media, requiring the calculation of results and accurate record-keeping.
Responsibilities
- Initiate, execute, and complete media preparation.
- Communicate effectively with team members about deadlines, scheduling issues, and work environment updates.
- Maintain GMP documentation and media preparation records.
- Manage inventories of reagents and ensure a clean laboratory workspace.
- Perform calculations during media preparation.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- If no degree, at least 1 years of laboratory work experience.
Work Environment
The role is based in a laboratory setting where maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety and procedural standards is paramount.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
