We're seeking a Safety Specialist to support large-scale data center construction projects across Wisconsin. In this role, you'll be a key driver of site safety, partnering with project teams, contractors, and field personnel to create and maintain a culture where safety is the top priority.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career safety professional who wants hands-on experience in the rapidly growing data center industry while working alongside experienced construction and safety leaders.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans that support safe and successful project execution.
  • Conduct field audits, site inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and proactively address potential safety concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor activities to verify adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and safety observations, helping identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training to promote awareness and accountability across the jobsite.
  • Maintain accurate records of audits, permits, incident reports, training documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and trade partners to integrate safety into every phase of construction.
  • Foster a strong safety culture by building relationships in the field and encouraging proactive hazard identification and reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance jobsite safety, efficiency, and compliance.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Current OSHA 30 and OSHA 510 certification.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
  • Ability to conduct safety audits, inspections, and job hazard analyses.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage field personnel, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to investigate incidents and help implement corrective actions.
  • Willingness to spend significant time in the field supporting active construction operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or field experience supporting commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects.
  • Knowledge of high-risk construction activities such as energized work, crane operations, confined spaces, and fall protection.
