Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated inspector to observe and inspect civil engineering construction work, ensuring it conforms with project specifications. This role involves inspecting the reconstruction and complete interchange reconfiguration of major infrastructure projects, including flyover bridges, bridge replacements, and roadway expansions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect various infrastructure projects, including 21 bridges, walls, and earth structures.
• Work independently and assist experienced inspectors on complex assignments.
• Document construction progress and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Resolve problems promptly and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Perform field construction inspection and documentation services on commercial, municipal, institutional, and heavy highway and bridge projects.
• Review job site safety daily, document and resolve issues, and ensure compliance with OSHA Safety Standards and corporate policies.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain necessary records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Submit accurate timesheets, mileage, and expense reports weekly.

Essential Skills

• Possession of ACI / FCON (GDOT Concrete Cert) Field Concrete Certificate.
• At least 2 years of civil inspection experience, specifically in roadway, bridge, and reinforced concrete projects.
• Proficiency in computer skills and software such as Procore, Heavy Jobs, E builders, Bentley Synchro, Excel, and Microsoft Suite.
• Experience in reinforced concrete inspection.
• Understanding of construction plans, specifications, and procedures.
• Basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to communicate fluently and work effectively as a team member.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with soils, asphalt, or aggregate is beneficial.
• Traffic control experience is highly advantageous.
• Experience in bridge foundation, pile driving, drilled shafts, or spread footing is highly regarded.
• Possession of additional certifications such as NICET, ICCs, GDOT CEIT Program, Pit Testing, Asphalt, and Traffic Control.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
