Job Description
The RF Technician will be responsible for advanced RF testing and troubleshooting, working under minimal supervision from a Test Supervisor. The role involves testing, troubleshooting, and repairing products and returned units at the component level. The technician will report to the Customer Service Department.
Responsibilities
- Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair new products using test procedures, schematics, wiring diagrams, and instruction manuals.
- Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair returned products from customers using the same procedures and manuals.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Experience with RF, testing, troubleshooting, and component level work.
- Proficiency with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and other laboratory test equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and understand electronic specifications, schematics, and layouts.
- Minimum 2-year degree.
- Experience programming microcontrollers is preferred but not required.
- Avionic or military background is a plus.
The candidate will be part of a team of two, working at a bench all day troubleshooting PCBs. The work requires comfort with sitting in a chair at a bench throughout the day. The team is currently supporting a large-scale project involving the assembly and release of 25,000 handheld test units.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Rutherford, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
