Job Description
We are seeking a skilled RF Engineering Technician to repair complex electronic equipment. This role involves troubleshooting to determine the cause of operational failures, replacing or repairing malfunctioning components, and testing the equipment to meet documented performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Repair semi-complex electronic equipment, including printed circuit boards, multiplexing systems, and amplifiers.
- Troubleshoot equipment by conducting a variety of diagnostic tests to identify operational failures.
- Reconstruct or replace defective parts and adjust mechanical components as needed.
- Review engineering change notices related to equipment design and operation.
- Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to specifications.
- Apply new paint or coatings to equipment components.
- Test equipment to ensure it meets documented performance standards.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, calibrations, and tests using a computer database system.
- Support product investigations by providing technical assistance to Production, Test, Field Service, and Engineering departments.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a repair technician.
- Proficiency in using hand tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with RF and MW components.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and testing circuits.
- Experience in testing and troubleshooting electronic components.
- Background in electrical engineering.
The work environment is on the manufacturing floor, featuring various benches and designated areas for different tasks. You will have a dedicated bench for your work. Depending on the test requirements, you may need to work in chambers. The role involves troubleshooting products, identifying or confirming issues, performing repairs, retesting, and progressing the product along the production line. You will work closely with a lead and supervisor who are willing to provide training. The schedule follows a 9/80 work week, with nine-hour workdays for the first week and an eight-hour Friday. Compensation is paid bi-weekly. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
