Job Title: RF Design Engineer

Job Description

This role focuses on designing and developing RF systems and mixed-signal electronics using off-the-shelf components. You will contribute to products that are deployed in the field, create and refine prototypes, and perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting to ensure robust, reliable performance.

Responsibilities

• Design RF circuits and systems using off-the-shelf components, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Develop mixed-signal electronic designs that integrate analog, RF, and digital circuitry.
• Create and modify schematic and PCB layouts using industry-standard design tools such as Altium.
• Build and rework prototypes using strong soldering skills, including through-hole and surface-mount components.
• Perform comprehensive testing and troubleshooting of RF and mixed-signal designs to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Support the development of products intended for deployment in the field, validating designs under realistic operating conditions.
• Collaborate across multiple disciplines to refine designs, improve system performance, and support product lifecycle activities.
• Contribute to the design and integration of DC power systems within RF and mixed-signal hardware.
• Document design decisions, test results, and troubleshooting steps to support ongoing development and future iterations.
• Continuously expand technical skills by taking on responsibilities in various engineering disciplines within the organization.

Essential Skills

• Approximately 6-10 years of RF design experience using off-the-shelf components.
• Demonstrated track record of RF designs that have resulted in proven products deployed in the field.
• Strong mixed-signal electronics design experience, integrating RF, analog, and digital circuitry.
• Proficient soldering skills suitable for prototype assembly and rework.
• Hands-on testing and troubleshooting capabilities for RF and mixed-signal hardware.
• Practical experience with RF engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with Altium or similar electronic design automation tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Background in RF design and dc power systems integration.

Work Environment

The role is based in a small company environment where engineers take on broad responsibilities across several disciplines. You will work closely with a compact, collaborative team, gaining exposure to multiple aspects of product development and hardware design. This is a Permanent position based out of Lewisville, TX.

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.69/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
