Job Description
The Revit Technician will be responsible for creating 3D models of construction plans to design and model entire projects for all specialties – HVAC,
Electrical, Plumbing, Process Piping, Machine/Equipment Layout, Structural and Architectural. This role primarily involves using Revit to create 3D models of process piping and MEP systems. Additionally, the technician will use AutoCAD to create 2D construction drawings of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. The position requires drawing all aspects of Treatment Plants, including Structural, MEP, Architectural, Process Piping, and Civil components.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in Revit with a minimum of 3 years of experience in creating construction plans.
- Expertise in drafting, design, and 3D modeling.
- Knowledge of architectural, MEP, civil, and process piping systems.
- Ability to create construction documents and mechanical, plumbing, and piping models.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Wanting to design and model entire projects for all specialties – HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Process Piping, Machine/Equipment Layout, Structural and Architectural in application to the construction of Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities
- Background in industrial, pharmaceutical, chemical, or heavy manufacturing projects is beneficial.
- Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing design teams.
- Proficiency in Revit functions such as editing component types, rendering 3D views, and creating project parameters.
- Willingness to be cross-trained on other internal softwares, and wanting to develop and grow in the stable water/wastewater infrastructure industry.
Responsibilities
- Create 3D models of construction plans for water and wastewater treatment facilities using Revit.
- Develop 2D construction drawings of water distribution and wastewater collection systems using AutoCAD when needed..
- Collaborate with the design team to produce comprehensive drawings covering all aspects of treatment plants.
- Work towards becoming a Revit Team Leader and eventually a Revit Manager.
Work Environment
The Design Department consists of around 20 Revit/CAD professionals. The standard work week is Monday to Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with an average of 40-45 hours per week. The office environment is laid back yet deadline-driven, with a family feel and strong team collaboration. Each team member has their own cubicle, ensuring a quiet workspace. Dress code is business casual. The design department
is run by other CAD professionals, rather than reporting to a team of engineers, so you’re operating as an entire design team, and delegating work as necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
