Job Description

Join a leading company in Modular Construction as a Revit Drafter. Based in South Whitley, IN, you will be part of a dynamic engineering and design team. You will manage projects from inception to completion, working on diverse commercial and industrial projects across the United States. This role offers the opportunity to work with various materials, such as wood, steel, and concrete block, and to be involved in the design of Structural, MEP, and Architectural elements.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive plan sets for commercial modular construction, ensuring customer and state approval in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Work primarily in Revit, as 99% of designs are completed using this software.
• Interact professionally with customers, co-workers, and state agencies.
• Assist with reviewing shop drawings as required.
• Apply ICC Building code knowledge to guarantee all designs are accurate and compliant with regulations.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit, with the ability to create detailed drawings.
• Proficiency in Excel for documentation management.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with both external and internal teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry, particularly in design or BIM.
• Hands-on experience or knowledge of building processes and how structures are assembled.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with typical hours from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, though starting at 8:00 AM is acceptable. Overtime opportunities are available as you develop self-sufficiency. The office environment is collaborative, with cubicles and offices shared by the engineering team, finance team, and upper management. The culture is fun and laid-back, yet fast-paced and production-focused. You will have the chance to interact directly with teams in the shop and see projects progress before they reach the construction site. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Whitley, IN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in South Whitley,IN.
