Remote Site Civil Engineer

Description

This engineering consulting firm was founded in 2024 and has already grown a significant backlog of work. There is currently no brick & mortar location, but there are plans to establish one in the coming years. This role will be 100% remote, with preference on Central Ohio. All candidates MUST be in Ohio.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed civil site design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading, drainage, utility, profiles, corridors, etc.
• Projects include site development and public out-parcels for private and public clients including retail, correctional facilities, ADA trails & sidewalks, warehouse, and more.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and operations—to streamline processes, optimize project workflows, and nurture client relationships.
• Prepare construction documents, exhibits, and technical drawings in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of site layout plans, roadway alignments, profiles, and cross-sections.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, clients, and permitting agencies.
• Maintain organized project files and drawing standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• 3-10 years of site civil engineering & design experience
• Experience with grading, profiles, plan production, corridors, stormwater, etc.
• Must be able to work independently with limited training. Will be working remotely so won't have someone to answer questions at all times.

Plus:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
• EIT/ PE license (or ability to obtain in near future)
• Project management experience for civil site projects

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
